Thanksgiving 2006

We went to SC for Thanksgiving. We stayed at my Aunt Leslie's house. All of my Dad's brothers were there. Most of the family was able to make it. We had a great time. The day after Thanksgiving we woke up at 4:30 am to go shopping. There were some crazy good deals on top of no taxes for the weekend!

Luder hanging out.

My two cousins who live in Charlotte. Logan is at school at UNC and Blake
just became a Chiroropractor. We were like the three musketeers growing up.

Cason spent a large portion of the trip playing with his cousin Ethan and Ethan's toys.

Right after dinner Abram and I were hanging out.

Happy Thanksgiving, this is my little cousin Ashton.

Leslie and Justin. My Dad's sister and her son. (Ashton is her son as well.)

Abram's 1st

Abram's first birthday was Tuesday November 21st. I can't believe he is one year already! He is a happy baby. He is trying to walk, it won't be long. We had a birthday party for them on November 11th at our house. You can see the pictures from the party here.

Thanksgiving Feast at School

Cason had a "Thanksgiving Feast" at school. It was a real turkey dinner with friends and they were dressed as little Indians. We had a great time! This is his little friend Makayla.

Fifth Year Anniversary

For our 5 yr anniversary, Luder took me horseback riding through the mountains in the Shenandoah Valley. It was autumn follage at its best. It was so peaceful and perfect. After that we went to one of my favorite restaurants where we lived when we were first married. We stayed in a newly renovated historical hotel and had an awesome breakfast at a nearby restaurant that was featured in Southern Living . It also happens to have Nan's favorite pies. The whole weekend was a lot of fun. I had not been on a horse since riding on the equestrian team in college. I have missed it tremendously. It was a very cold weekend, we look a little dorky with our 10 layers of clothing and our helmets. I told Luder that I needed both of our brains to be intact for the rest of our lives, he agreed to wear a helmet. This disclaimer is necessary to let me post Luder's picture. He says he looks like a "complete dork" in this picture.
